MAZI EJIMOFOR OPARA
The arguments about the appropriateness or otherwise of the Anambra State First Lady’s charity work in far away Houston is neither here nor there. The simple insights I have picked from this act are represented in the points below:
– First is that she has not been found wanting of equal acts of Charity back home.
– Second, she has demonstrated that no one is too poor that they have nothing to give. Bill and Melinda Gates donate millions of Dollars to Africa and Nigeria in Charity every year. Does it mean that they have solved all the problems that there is in America?
– Third, the sources of funding of all her Charity works have not been cryptic. She is constantly seen on the trail of benevolent and Rich ndi Anambra who donate to her course.
– Fourth, Charity is not limited by space.
– Fifth, she deserves a special recognition for presenting Anambra and Indeed Ndi Igbo as a people with sufficient dose of milk of human kindness.
I think I am proud of this act. After all, Africa is not as poor and poverty ridden as the West paints her.
Kudos to Osodieme for taking Anambra to the world in this very critical dimension!
