The All Progressives Congress, APC, South West Women Leader, Chief (Mrs.) Kemi Nelson, has congratulated the newly elected leaders of the National Assembly, Senator Ahmed Lawan and Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, while describing their emergence as a giant step for Nigeria towards the achievement of peace and prosperity.

In a message made available to newsmen the Women Leader said, “Today, democracy got another thumbs up as our nation took another giant step forward to achieving peace and prosperity for its citizens, and strengthening governance”.

“I want to specially congratulate the two great men who have marched boldly and tenaciously; Distinguished Senator Ahmed Lawan and Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, as both emerged as President of the Senate and Speaker, House of Representatives respectively, giving us a great cause to celebrate.”

“With these men, we are sure that democracy is safe, and that the proceedings at the National Assembly will be of a high level of political excellence.”

“They come with the required experience and expertise to steer the National Assembly in the right direction.”

“Once again, it is with a hearty disposition, that I congratulate both leaders and wish them well in their respective endeavours at the National Assembly. We pray that your tenure shall be successful and that your legislative activities and acumen will aid the Next Level Agenda” Chief (Mrs.) Nelson concluded.
