Chief Oke Osisi Ndigbo In Alimosho, Charles Muofunanya Passes On At 71

The Palace of Eze Ndigbo in Alimosho Local Government, Eze Lawrence Nnamdi Eze, has been thrown into mourning following the demise of one of the palace Chiefs, Charles Muofunanya (Oke Osisi Ndigbo) in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Oke Osisi Ndigbo died on 29th March, 2025, at his house in Idimu area of Lagos at the age 71 years.
He hailed from Umuleri in Anambra State and married with children and grand children.
The wake was held on Thursday, 17th April, 2025, at his compound in Idimu, Lagos as dignitaries across the State attended and paid their last respect to the late Oke Osisi described by many people as a man peace and died peacefully at his home.
Among the dignitaries who attended included the cabinet Chiefs of Ezendigbo in Alimosho Local Government, Eze Lawrence Eze and his dear wife, Ugoeze Udoamaka, Ezendigbo in Egan and Obadore, Eze Malachy Udenze and Malachy Ohajekw respectively, founder and first president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, Chief John Uche, Chairman of Ndigbo in Alimosho, Chief Ben Obi, Founder of Igbo Ruo Ulo, Edozie Alagbo,  Chief Obioma Nnazor, Chief Peter Muofunanya (Odenjiji of Umureri ) and his wife, Stella, Chief Okey Uzoegbulam.
Others included Chief Henry Ejelonu,(Apiti) Ononwu Kelechukwu Ma -Ejere , Chief Alex Ilo,
Chief Suny Akpaoyibo, Pricess Juliet Asodike, Chief Christian Uwaeme and many others including his town union living in Lagos State.
Speaking at the event, Eze Lawrence described the late Oke Osisi as a man of peace, who was committed and passionate in making peace among Ndigbo in Alimosho and indeed in Lagos State. He prayed that God would accept his soul in perfect peace.
Chief John Uche also commended the late Oke Osisi for the life well spent and explained that he had known him for many years and also at peace with people around him. He enjoined Ndigbo living in Lagos State to always attend their village or town meeting to associate with people because there will be a day where people will gather to pay last respect.
Chief Nnazor also commended Late Oke Osisi and called Ndigbo in emulate him because it was life well spent and called for celebration of life as he also died at a bit advanced age. So many people spoke in the same vein including members of his community in Umuleri in Lagos State.
The family summarized the life Late Oke Osisi Ndigbo in Alimosho in his poster and stated that it was a celebration of life.
He will be buried in his compound in his home town in Umuleri on Friday, 25th April, 2025.

There was displaying of traditional dance to honour the late Oke Osisi anchored by Eze Lawrence Nnamdi Eze palace.
