Renowned Nigerian author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, is making her debut appearance on the largest global comedy brand, Comedy Central.

Chimamanda will be an in studio guest on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah on Thursday and it will be a reunion with the show host, Noah. Chimamanda and Noah met last year at the 2017 PEN World Voices’ Festival.

“While we have many reasons to be intrigued by Chimamanda’s Daily Show debut, what we are most eager about is her world famous clap back. The ‘Half Of A Yellow Sun’ writer has shown us on multiple occasions that she is not one to be trolled in the media,” a statement made available to P.M.EXPRESS reads.

“Whether it is setting facts straight after her heated Hillary Clinton interview or giving a sassy response to a French journalist who asked her whether “there were libraries in Nigeria”? It’s a no brainer that Chimamanda is the queen of clap back,” it added.

Chimamanda is a multiple award winning Nigerian author, who has written several critically acclaimed books such as ‘Purple Hibiscus,’ ‘Half of a Yellow Sun,’ and ‘Americanah.’

A renowned feminist and advocate for women’s rights never shies away from publicly speaking her mind.

She recently became a global trending topic when she engaged the 2016 presidential candidateHillary Clinton over her Twitter bio description being “Wife, mom, grandma” rather than her career achievements, while her husband’s – former US President Bill Clinton – account does not attribute him as “husband”.

The Daily Show hosted by South African comedian, Trevor Noah, is Comedy Central’s Emmy award winning late-night talk and news satire television program, which draws its comedy and satire from recent news stories and political figures.

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah airs at 22:00 CAT/21:00 WAT on Comedy Central across Africa.

Viewers can follow The Daily Show on Twitter (7.3 million followers) and Instagram (1 million followers), subscribe to their YouTube channel (2.7 million subscribers) and become a fan of The Daily Show on Facebook (7.5 million fans).

Fans can follow Trevor Noah on Twitter (8.5 million followers), Facebook (4.7 million fans) and Instagram (2 million followers).
