Comrade Vincent Ezekwueme, Chairman, Civil Liberty Organization, CLO, Anambra State branch, has pleaded with the Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, to use his magnanimity and interest of road users to direct the contractor handling Ugwuakwu-Ibughubu Road in Umuchu, Aguata Local government, to go back to site and complete of the road.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Ezekwueme urged the contractor handling the project to ensure proper channelling of flood in view of fast approaching Christmas and New Year celebrations.
“The completion of the road becomes inevitable in order to decongest the ever busy Nkwo-Osete and minimize incessant road mishaps. I commend his Excellency for his unique wisdom in awarding the contract and his promise to upgrade Umuchu General Hospital as centre for Primary Health Insurance Scheme.”
He reiterated the earlier call on Gov. Obiano to upgrade Ugwuakwu- Health Post to General Hospital and Provision of pipe bore water for the villages in Umuchu.
It will be recalled that Ezekwueme had in memoirs to the Governor drawn his attention to the decrepit and deplorable condition of the road which prompted the Governor to award the contract for the construction of the road.
“The community and generation yet unborn will ever remain grateful to Chief Obiano for being the first Governor to put smiles on our faces by awarding the contract for the road” he said.
Comrade Ezekwueme also appealed to the indefatigable President General of Umuchu town, Engr.Emeka Ononuju, to take stringent measures in order to regulate activities of those that cause road congestions during festivities and direct his focus towards education in the town.
“It is of prime importance to note that your name will be engraved into the hearts and minds of people if you establish Education Trust Fund to cater for talented and gifted Indigents students of the town to enhance their education” he suggested.
He also commended and congratulated the PG for his victory and peaceful conduct of the election that ushered him in as President General of Umuchu town.
“I prayed to God to give him and leadership of Ugwuakwu village indeed other villages in Umuchu, the wisdom and good health as they continue to serve God and humanity” Ezekwueme posited.
