The Civil Liberty Organization, CLO, Anambra branch, has commiserated with the family of Dr. Arthur Nwankwo, who recently passed on.

P.M.EXPRESS reports as was contained in a press statement issued in Awka, Anambra State, jointly endorsed by Comrades Vincent Ezekwueme (Chairman) and Chidi Mba (Secretary).

The group lamented the irreparable and irreplaceable lost of the great and selfless erudite scholar, social crusader and agent for positive change.
“His years in life and life in years was remarkable, rewarding, outstanding and worthy of emulation. As a chieftain of National Democratic Coalition, he fought doggedly and courageously over political and social injustice in the country especially the annulment of June 12, 1993 presidential election won by Chief MKO Abiola of the Social Democratic Party.”
It stated that as leader of Eastern Mandate Union his position on national and international affairs was most patriotic, unbiased and selfless.

“He was one of most God-fearing, nationalistic and fearless leader Nigeria has ever produced. The sorrow and pain his family and loved ones experienced is the price we must pay for having had him in our lives. The family, global human rights community and lovers of social justice should take solace for the fact that Dr Arthur Nwankwo lived and died for God and humanity.”
CLO stated that the greatest tribute the political class and Human Rights community should pay for Dr. Arthur Nwankwo is to spare no effort to eradicate injustices, inequalities provenance and man’s inhumanity against his fellow man which he fought before he died.
They equally prayed for eternal repose of his selfless and humble soul as well as fortitude for his loved ones to bear the irreplaceable and irreparable lost.
