Coca‑Cola Nigeria has reiterated its commitment to transparency for consumers as it provides clear, accessible nutrition information on products packaging in line with national regulatory requirements.
A statement from the Coca‑Cola System in Nigeria on Friday said “our priority is safeguarding consumer interests and we will continue to work constructively with the government on this matter.”
The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) have accuse Coca Cola Nigeria of misleading trade description and unfair marketing tactics.
According to FCCPC, Coca Cola Nigeria in their marketing says Coca-Cola “Original Taste, Less Sugar “variant as one and the same, as well as unchanged, when in actual fact, same had indeed changed, was different, differently formulated and not the same as their otherwise “classic, or “Original Taste”.
But the beverage giants noted that it strongly believe that the Coca‑Cola System in Nigeria has “complied with all regulations and look forward to the opportunity to bring this topic to closure.”
