A business director, Destiny Oguta has landed in trouble after he employed a driver in his company who turned out to be his albatross.

It was gathered that the driver, Tayo Amusa grabbed, beaten and battered his boss and had him hospitalized in Lagos.
The incident happened at the company called Colimor Integrated Limited located at Ilasamaja, Lagos where Amusa was employed as a driver few weeks ago.

Our correspondent gathered that trouble started when one of the vehicles battery got missing in the company premises. Oguta then summoned Amusa and asked him to produce the battery since he was the driver when the battery disappeared.
This infuriated Amusa, who reportedly unexpectedly attacked and injured his boss and then fled from the company’s premises.
When our correspondent contacted Amusa to get his side of the story, he said he had parked the vehicle inside the company’s premises and left for home. When he resumed for work the following day, it was discovered that vehicle’s battery was missing. Oguta then asked him to produce the battery, while he was short of calling him a thief, while there were security men on duty on the day the battery was missing.
P.M.EXPRESS learnt Oguta had been badly beaten and sustained injury before other workers could rescued him.
The matter was reported to the police at Ilasa division who trailed and arrested Amusa.
He was charged with stealing and assault under the Criminal Code.
He pleaded guilty.
The prosecutor, Mr U.A. Ojei told the court that the victim employed the suspect as driver and he assaulted him.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs A.K. Shonubi granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.
Amusa was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
