The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), joined family, friends, and political associates to attend the birthday thanksgiving service of his highly revered leader, Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku, fondly known across the globe as Baba Eto.
The thanksgiving service was held in gratitude to God for the gift of life, sound health, and decades of impactful leadership. It came on the heels of the grand celebration of Baba Eto’s 79th birthday, which was marked on Friday, 5th September, 2025.
The Ikeja Council Chairman was in the company of several political leaders and dignitaries, including the celebrant’s son and Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku; the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe; as well as other eminent leaders from across Lagos State.
In his goodwill message, Comrade Dauda prayed for Baba Eto to enjoy more years of sound health, divine grace, and continued relevance, while also asking God to bless and preserve all that concerns him.
