Comrade Dauda Attends Lagos State Public Service Club Gala Night

The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD) yesterday, 5th September, 2025, joined distinguished guests at the 2025 Gala Night and Presentation of Medals & Prizes to winners of the 2025 Intra-Club Sectional Ladder Games, hosted by the Lagos State Public Service Club.
The Council Chairman, who was ably represented by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Oni Olalekan, extended his goodwill message to members of the club.
In his remarks, Comrade Dauda commended the long-standing commitment of the club in upholding the values and traditions of a social institution that fosters unity, relaxation, and healthy relationships among its members. He noted that the club has stood the test of time and continues to grow stronger as a platform for friendship, bonding, and community building.
The Council Chairman also prayed for God’s continued guidance for the executives as they steer the affairs of the club towards greater heights.
In his address, the President of the Club, Ambassador Olukayode Odunuga JP, PGA, FCISM, expressed gratitude to Comrade AKOD for honouring their invitation and warmly invited him to become a more frequent participant in the club’s activities. He also appreciated members for their unwavering support, acknowledging that their collective contributions have been instrumental to the successes recorded under his leadership. He congratulated all medal and prize winners, wishing them well in their future endeavours.
The Gala Night had in attendance several dignitaries, including the Chairman of Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Alhaji Hakeem Shittu; General Manager, LASTMA, Mr. Olalekan Oki-Bakare; Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, Alhaji Toriola; among many others.
The colourful event took place at the Lagos State Public Service Club Arena, 14 Sobo Arobiodu Street, Ikeja GRA.
