The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Hon. Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), on Wednesday, 13th May, 2026, attended separate strategic political meetings with the Deputy Governor of Lagos State and APC gubernatorial consensus candidate, Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat (KOH), as well as Senator Idiat Oluranti Adebule.
The separate meetings were held at the campaign offices of the respective candidates within GRA, Ikeja.
The high-level strategy meeting with Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat had in attendance all Local Government and Local Council Development Area Chairmen across Lagos State, APC Local Government Party Chairmen, party leaders, and notable stalwarts of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Similarly, the meeting with Senator Idiat Oluranti Adebule was attended by council chairmen from Lagos West Senatorial District.
The meetings focused on strategic consultations and preparations ahead of the forthcoming party primaries, with emphasis placed on sustaining unity, cohesion, peace, and mutual understanding within the party structure.
Discussions also centered on strengthening internal democracy, fostering collaboration among party stakeholders, and ensuring a seamless and peaceful primary process across the state.
Comrade Dauda reaffirmed his commitment to the ideals and progressive vision of the All Progressives Congress, stressing the importance of unity and collective responsibility in achieving continued electoral success for the party.
He further urged party members and supporters to remain calm, united, and committed to the growth and stability of the APC in Lagos State.
