Comrade Dauda Distributes Cows, Rams, Rice, Cash Gifts To Ikeja Community For Ileya Celebration

In the spirit of love, unity, and compassion that defines the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Hon. Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), has once again demonstrated exemplary leadership and commitment to the welfare of the people through a massive Ileya support initiative across Ikeja.
As part of the Ileya Splash programme, the Ikeja Council Chairman extended generous support to Apex Leader, all LGA Executives, Ward Chairmen, Ward Executives, Chiefs and Baales, Chief Imam of Ikeja, all the 15 Central Mosques in Ikeja, political office holders, as well as staff and management of Ikeja Local Government.
The intervention package included the distribution of:
20 cows
Over 300 rams
300 bags of rice
Cash gifts to residents and stakeholders across Ikeja Local Government.
In addition, every ward in Ikeja received:
5 bags of rice
1 cow
₦1 million cash support.
The Local Government Executives also received:
10 bags of rice
1 cow.
Comrade Dauda stated that the gesture was aimed at supporting Muslim faithful and easing the burden of celebration for families during the festive period, while also appreciating party leaders, community stakeholders, and loyal supporters for their unwavering commitment to the growth and development of Ikeja.
He emphasized that leadership must always prioritize the wellbeing of the people, especially during important religious celebrations that promote sacrifice, peace, and togetherness.
The beneficiaries expressed profound appreciation to Comrade Dauda for his generosity, consistency, and people-oriented leadership style, describing the initiative as unprecedented and impactful across the local government.
The Ileya Splash initiative further reflects AKOD’s dedication to inclusive governance, grassroots empowerment, and community support in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
