The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), on Thursday joined the Senate Leader of the 10th National Assembly, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, and other stakeholders at the Lagos Physical Planning Summit 2.0 to discuss strategies for sustainable urban development and priority investments across Lagos State.
The summit held yesterday was themed “Diagnosis to Delivery: Positioning Lagos for Strategic Regional Development and Priority Investment Agenda.”
Senator Bamidele was the guest speaker, while the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Olabode Agoro, his counterpart in Ekiti State, Dr. (Mrs.) Folakemi Gbonjubola Olomojobi, and other government officials also attended the event.
Comrade Dauda’s participation highlighted the role of local governments in translating the state’s development priorities into practical interventions at the grassroots, particularly in infrastructure renewal, environmental management, effective land use and the development of safer, more organised communities.
The summit provided an opportunity for stakeholders to exchange perspectives on aligning government policies, investment priorities and local development needs to support Lagos State’s long-term growth.
