The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), has officially sworn in the newly appointed Secretary to the Local Government, Council Supervisors, and Special Advisers at a ceremony held at the Council Secretariat, Ikeja.
The oath of office was administered by the Director of Legal Services of Ikeja Local Government, Barr. Olubusola Bailey, who charged the appointees to discharge their duties in accordance with the law and in the best interest of the people of Ikeja.
Those sworn in included: Prince Yinka Illo (Secretary to the Local Government), Mr. Matthew Ojewunmi, Mr. Dada Adams, Hon. Ayotunde Adenuga, Hon. Edward Aragbonfo, Mr. Tayo Aderinola, Mr. Segun Aderowo, Barr. Pelumi Ologunde, Chief (Mrs.) Funbi Akinduro, Hon. Sola Adeniyi, Mr. Oluwaseun Makinde, Mr. Joseph Christopher, Mrs. Folashade Bajobi, Chief (Mrs.) Jumoke Ogunyemi, Hon. Ganiyu Oladeji, Hon. Femi Adeyemi, Mr. Austin Omoruyi, and Chief Saheed Ekundayo.
In his remarks, Comrade Dauda congratulated the newly sworn-in officials and urged them to see their appointments as a call to service. He emphasized the need for dedication, loyalty, and commitment to the development of Ikeja, noting that their collective efforts would further strengthen the administration’s drive to deliver impactful governance and improved welfare for the people.
The Council Chairman also encouraged the appointees to work collaboratively, uphold transparency, and contribute meaningfully to the progress and transformation of Ikeja Local Government.
Dignitaries present at the ceremony included the Vice Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Hon. Abisola Omisore; the Council Manager, Mrs. Juliana Taiwo Odubeko; Apex Leader, Chief Funso Ologunde; the Ikeja APC Chairman, Hon. Adebowale Adetoro; and other party leaders and stakeholders too numerous to mention.
