The Nigeria Police Force have cleared the air on a video that had gone viral on social media about the conditions of recruits in training at the Police College, Ikeja, Lagos.
In a statement by Ag. DCP Jimoh Moshood, Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, Abuja, the Nigeria Police Force said that their attention has been drawn to the video on social media and that they have carefully studied it.
After studying the video, it was discovered by the Force that the event was old and said to have occurred about Six (6) years ago. The Nigeria Police disclosed that the video did not represent the recent conditions of the recruits in training at the Police College in Ikeja as being speculated.
The Force equally stated that Police College had been renovated and the condition of recruits in training was decent and standardized.
The Nigeria Police therefore wants the public to disregard the content of the video in total as untrue, mischievous and fake news.
