Dear Hon. Daniel Hassan Bwala (PhD-iv),

Except for the misanthropes and naysayers, it is an incontrovertible fact that you are an exemplar of modesty, grundyism and prudishness. You are an embodiment of priggishness, propriety and comportment and no less a reflection of altruism, compassion and humaneness.

I remember your words during our last visit to Mr. President on September 27, 2024, barely seven weeks ago, you had said, ‘Omogbolahan, my brother, eyes on the ball. No distractions.’

Today, it is a thing of joy that that your statement has come to fruition. It could only have been God. That’s why I believe, very strongly, in the common cliché that says, ‘one with God is a majority.’

As a legal cum international diplomacy ‘prodigy’, the country – Nigeria, nay, the world now awaits your answer to the clarion call for nation building. Your appointment is more than befitting. It is a validation of Mr. President’s eye for excellence and knack for results.

It is an open and shut fact that you are a square peg in a square hole on what you have been called to do. Do not get it twisted. Mr. President is VERY INTENTIONAL about your portfolio. Hence, the specific mention of State House to the title. He believes so much in your deliverables. I personally believe 101% in your capacity and capability. The average Nigerians also believe in you.

I therefore congratulate you on this all-important national assignment that comes with huge and herculean responsibilities. No man, no homo sapien born of a woman will be able to pooh-pooh your predestined celestial kismet, no matter how hard they try. You will deliver against all odds. There was God, ‘yesterday’ when ‘plots’ from every angle were very thick and almost suffocating. There is God today Who will lead you through in delivering your mandate. And there will be God every other day as we move along.

Thank you for being you – a shade under the scorching sun, a duvet under the shattering cold, and an umbrella under dazing downpour. I will ne’er forget the day you came with LAMP when I was thrown into political darkness by those who ‘used’ me. Your decision to secure me a slot in the APC Presidential Campaign Council Policy, Research and Strategy even while as a member of the opposition (the PDP) gave me the lifeline. You are indeed a destiny helper who’s worth more than an alter ego.

Congratulations again, dear boss, leader, and most congrously (as you always want it), my friend.
