In the last few years, Anambra Central has witnessed a clear departure from the usual rhetorics and mediocre representation to an era of quality, bold, courageous and service-driven senatorial representation under Distinguished Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom).
The Amazon of the Senate and the most vocal female Senator of the 9th Assembly, Senator Uche Ekwunife PhD, has demonstrated rare attributes of ‘astute legislative dexterity’ and unmatched constituency service/projects execution far beyond the expectations of her constituents.
Conscious of the enormity of the infrastructural challenges, the near absence of leadership in her constituency and the need to leverage the given opportunity and limited resources towards bridging these infrastructure and leadership gaps, *Distinguished Senator Uche Lilian Ekwunife (Adaugo)* set out at dawn to give Ndi Anambra Central a result based and people-centred representation through quality, enduring and impact-based projects and services.
Deserving of mention is Senator Ekwunife’s love and affection towards the downtrodden and less privileged members of the society. The capacity Senator, popularly known as *Oji Uno Eme Ogo,* has in the last four years initiated, completed and handed over about 10 tastefully furnished brand new bungalows to various widows and physically challenged constituents cutting across many communities in the seven LGAs that make up the senatorial District. It is important to note that these bungalows were the signature and pacesetting projects by the people’s senator and the first of their kinds since the senatorial representation.
The A grade Senator, who was conferred the chieftaincy title of *Ifekaolaedo* by the clan head of Dunukofia Ancient kingdom and traditional ruler of Ukpo, HRM, Igwe Dr Robert Chukwudilim Eze (Okofia IV), has endeared herself in the hearts of Ndi Anambra Central and indeed the entire Anambra state through her legislative footprints, humble approach to leadership and inclusive project distribution amongst the communities of the Constituency.
It is therefore, natural to witness the widespread clamour by Ndi Anambra Central for a positive continuity and to consolidate on the gains of the current constituency representation under the Iyom of the Senate.
In a matter of choosing who to represent Anambra Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly come 2023, the words of Robert Greene will suffice as a guide and I quote; *”keep your friends for friendship, but work with the skilled and competent”.* And I make bold to say that *most Distinguished Senator Uche Lilian Ekwunife (Anyanwu Nri)* is adequately skilled, competent and educationally prepared to navigate through the complex legislative bureaucracy and ensure the delivery of the dividends of legislation to her constituency.
I call on Ndi Anambra Central to choose capacity, integrity, honesty. choose a tested and trusted leader. *choose Distinguished Senator (Mrs) Uche Lilian Ekwunife (IYOM) PhD for senate Anambra Central Senatorial District.
