Coronation Group Limited has hosted its much-anticipated 2024 Art Gallery Exhibition on Thursday 19 September at the Coronation Art Gallery.

This year’s edition shone a spotlight on the contributions of women in the art world, with the works of over 10 distinguished female collectors being showcased.

The exhibition is aligned with Coronation’s sustainability agenda, particularly focusing on gender inclusivity in the arts, and is a clear demonstration of the company’s commitment to promoting UN Sustainable Development Goal 4, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable education for all.

By providing a platform for female collectors, Coronation is fostering dialogue on the role of women in the art space and advancing gender representation in creative industries. This initiative is part of the Group’s broader drive to promote responsible cultural practices through its sustainability framework.

Coronation Group’s belief in the intrinsic link between art and access to wealth is reflected in this year’s exhibition.

The Coronation Art Gallery initiative seeks to democratize art by making cultural treasures accessible to a broader audience.

The exhibition will not only display impressive collections but also promote the idea that art should be a shared cultural and economic asset, available to all, not just a select few.

Attendees can expect a diverse range of contemporary and classical artworks from both African and international artists.

The event will attract a mix of art enthusiasts, collectors, and professionals, offering a space for stimulating discussions on the intersection of art, culture, and business. Guests will also enjoy an elegant culinary experience, with gourmet hors d’oeuvres and beverages, ensuring the evening is both artistically enriching and socially engaging.

Ngozi Akinyele, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Coronation Group stated: “At Coronation, we are committed to integrating gender inclusivity and sustainability into our cultural initiatives. This exhibition underscores our dedication to empowering women in the arts while fostering responsible cultural practices. We are delighted to work with such exceptional female collectors and believe this event will resonate with our broader mission to democratize access to art and culture.”

The 2024 Art Gallery Exhibition was an unforgettable evening, where art, culture, and community come together, reinforcing Coronation’s mission to make art an inclusive experience for all.
