The newly formed Governing Board /BOT of the Council of Ndieze has been thrown into confusion and disarray after majority of its members denounced the Ezendigbo stool for chieftaincy titles and may have lost their thrones in their various Local Councils in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the board was formed following an all inclusive meeting of the factions held, which was held at the Stadium in Surulere, Lagos and presided over by Eze Chris Offia led Council of Eze Igbo.
At the expanded meeting, the group agreed to create the Governing Board /BOT and the following were appointed namely Eze John-Greg Okey Ezebuadi, Eze ( Dr) Chika Nwokedi, Eze Lawrence Nnamdi Eze, Eze Amb. Nicholas Njoku,  Eze Ikem Agbasi, Eze Tony Greg Anosike and Eze Uche Dimgba (Okpotemba).
The Board had their inaugural meeting at the office of Eze Dr Chika Nwokedi at Ijegun area of Lagos, where they took certain resolutions and agreed to implement them.
However, few days after the meeting of the Governing Board, information leaked on the social media that of about seven members of the Board members, five had denounced their Ezendigbo stools for chieftaincy titles.
Those mentioned in the story of denouncement were Eze John-Greg Okey Ezebuadi, Eze Amb. Nicholas Njoku, Eze Ikem Agbasi, Eze Tony Greg Anosike and Eze Uche Dimgba (Okpotemba).
The only two members that are yet to denounce the Ezendigbo stool are Eze Dr Chika Nwokedi and Eze Dr Lawrence Nnamdi Eze.
It was gathered that Eze Lawrence and Eze Nwokedi were still in shock since the information leaked. What surprised Nwokedi and Lawrence was that all of them attended the joint meeting where they were nominated.
There has been reactions over the conduct of denouncement by some Ndieze, who preferred Chieftaincy titles because of the pressure by the Southeast traditional rulers led by Eze E.C. Okeke.
A traditional leader and Ezendigbo in Ajao Estate, Eze Dr Frederick Nwajagu, described their action as Divine because they were not crowned Ezendigbo by the community. He explained that they were Chiefs crowned by late Ezendigbo, Lagos State, Eze Hyacinth Ohazuruike for administrative convenience and they have been deceiving Ndigbo that they were Ezes. He stated that the truth has finally come out because the creator of the title, Eze Ohazuruike, has died and by implication the title has died as well.
He explained that since they have denounced Ezendigbo title, they will be replaced in due time with Ezendigbo in their various Local Councils in the State.
