A couple, Mr. Frank Ifedili and his wife, Ifunnanya Ifedili, has debunked allegation of child abuse by their neighbour and  self acclaimed Human Rights activist, Dandy Eze, who was arrested by the EFCC and charged before the High Court over alleged N50m bribe in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the couple stated that it was a ploy by Eze, who wanted to use it to blackmail the wife to take advantage of her but she resisted and he then engaged the Police who tortured them for doing nothing.
The couple was arrested by operatives of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, Panti, after the Police received a petition from a Human Rights organisation, Paths of Peace Initiatives, about the false inhuman treatment meted to a 9-year old victim aided by Dandy Eze.
Speaking on what transpired where the couple resides at  2, Diran Alake Street, Mafoluku Oshodi, Lagos, the wife, Mrs. Ifedili said that Eze used a Police woman at SCIID Panti, Yaba, Lagos, she identified as Margaret, at the Human Rights Section, to intimidate and subject the family to mental torture for what did not happen.
She said that her husband, Frank, was detained for one week while she and her baby were also detained and the boy in question was forcefully taken away for two weeks forcing him to indict the couple: the little boy refused and was taken where he was inflicted with human bite.
Narrating what happened, Mrs. Ifedili said she got married to her husband and was brought to Lagos to the compound where he met Eze, who had divorced his wife, who left their children for him and went away. She said that when she met those children in terrible condition and because she has passion for children, she started looking after them before Eze started making passes to sleep with her but she refused and left the children.
She said she later became pregnant and he became angry; he started making trouble with her family but they ignored him because the family knew why he was just making trouble.
Mrs. Ifedili said that before she was delivered of the baby, Dandy Eze was arrested by EFCC and charged before the Court from where he stayed for several months in prison custody before he was later released. She said the boy in question was their blood relation; had no cause to maltreat him and he was happy living with them because they are taking care of him and training him in school.
The embittered woman said when Eze came out of prison, he was still making trouble yet the family ignored him. He then went and planned with the Police to arrest her and her husband accusing them of child abuse. They seized the boy insisting that the father of the boy must come from the village to take him away. She said the boy’s father came, saw the boy and was satisfied that the boy was healthy. The boy also told his father and the Police that he was not being maltreated and would not follow his father to the village.
She said after the Police realized that the plans to send the boy away had failed, he was released to his father who handed him over to the couple and left to the village. She said that Eze was not happy over the decision by the boy’s father and had been harassing and intimidating her family,  threatening that he will ensure that they go to prison. He claimed that he knows the IGP, Commissioner of Police and other top ranking Police officers including the press to deal with them.
The couple is pleading with the public to come to their aid and rescue them from the hands of Eze, who insisted that the family will not have peace.
Following the outcry, a group known as Igbo Burn Otu has offered to rescue the family and prevail on Eze from further intimidating the family. This was disclosed by the President, Chief Chika C. Nwokedi, who said that the members have approved to assist the family in line with the aims and objective of the association.
