CP John Bassey Abang Undertakes On The Spot Assessment Of Hotspots

The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP John Bassey Abang, on Saturday 13th July, 2019, undertook on the spot assessment of different locations in the state known for criminal activities.

It will be recalled that on 11th July, 2019, the Anambra Police boss, during his maiden press conference, promised to tackle the menace of one chance robbery and other security challenges in the State.

In view of the above determination, the CP on Saturday paid an assessment visit to Nkpor roundabout in Idemili North LGA and MCC Junction, Upper Iweka, Owerri Road/Aba Park, all in Onitsha area of Anambra State.

According to SP Haruna Mohammed, PPRO, Anambra State Police Command, the purpose of the visit was for local knowledge and to obtain firsthand information about the pattern of crimes being perpetrated in those areas with a view to curtailing them through effective deployment and visibility patrols. He said that the visit is still ongoing.
