The Founder of Kingdom of Heaven on Earth Mission a.k.a KIHEM-the Holy Throne of the Most High God on Earth, King Olutanmole Agbaye, is facing crisis as one of his acting spiritual leaders in Lagos branch, Abel Oluwagbemiga, has revolted against him.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the acting spiritual leader, Abel Oluwagbemiga, publicly rebelled against King Agbaye by attacking and assaulting one of the members of the church, Kunle Ezekiel, while pasting a poster of the spiritual leader priest-King Olutanmole Universe by hitting him with a stick and giving fist blows all over his body.
The incident happened on 29th March, 2025, at the church’s branch located at Akowonjo Road, by Vulcunizer bus stop, Egbeda, Lagos.
The cause of the disagreement between Abel Oluwagbemiga and King Agbaye was not disclosed by members when P.M.EXPRESS visited the church as none of the members contacted was willing to speak out.
However, the Police alleged Oluwagbemiga to have damaged the posters and chased away both Kunle and known members of the church loyal to the spiritual leader, King Agbaye, during the attack which drew the attention of members of the public in the area.
The alleged conduct and assault was reported to the Police at Area M Command, Idimu, Lagos. The Police operatives moved into action and arrested the 52-year old Oluwagbemiga and detained him at the Command for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
After being interrogated, the Police found him culpable and consequently charged him before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace, malicious damage and assault under the Criminal Laws of the State.
The charges read:
COUNT I: “That you, Abel Oluwagbemiga “M’ acting spiritual leader of Kihem Holy Throne of the most High God on Earth Mission of No. 122 Akowonjo Road, Egbeda-Lagos and others now at large in the Lagos Magisterial district, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony or misdemeanor to wit assault, malicious damage and conduct likely to cause breach of peace and thereby committed an offence contrary and punishable under Section 413 Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, Abel Oluwagbemiga ‘M’ and others at large on 29th day of March, at about 3:30p.m at the above mentioned Church in the same Lagos Magisterial district, did unlawfully assault one Kunle Ezekiel, a member of the Church while pasting a poster of the spiritual leader priest-King Olutanmole Universe by hitting him with stick, pillar and fist blows all over his body and causing him bodily harm and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 173 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT III:”That you, Abel Oluwagbemiga ‘M’ and others now at large on the same date time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did order the members of the church who are your supporters and unlawfully tore the banner, posters of the spiritual leader pasted and hanged in the Church premises without authorization and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 350 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT IV:”That you, Abel Oluwagbemiga ‘M’ and others now at large, on the same date time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did order your supporters to chase other members of the Church from attending the programmes to worship in the Church and thereby committed an offence punishable and contrary to Section 168 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State Nigeria 2015.”
However, he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.A.Popoola, granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned till 16th June, 2025, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail
