CSP Titilayo Oriyomi Receives CRAN Police Officer Of The Year Award

The Police officer in charge of traffic in Lagos State, CSP Titilayo Oluwasanmi Oriyomi, at the weekend received the award as the winner of the Police Officer of the Year 2019 by the Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria, CRAN.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that CSP Titilayo Oluwasanmi Oriyomi was accompanied to the epoch event by her friends and colleagues, who witnessed the event at the Press Centre at Oduduwa Crescent, G.R.A, Ikeja, Lagos.
The President of the association, Mr. Sunday Odita, had stated that the award will be presented to her in February this year for emerging the overall winner in a voting process by members of the association on Saturday, 25th January, 2020.
Last year November, Oriyomi was also given an award as Outstanding Traffic Officer of the Year and later emerged the Police officer of the year for her outstanding performance.
CSP Oriyomi Titilayo Oluwasanmi was born in Lagos in the early 70s. She attended Primary and Secondary schools in Lagos. She is a graduate of Philosophy from Ogun State University now Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago Iwoye, Ogun State.
As a well trained Police officer, she has worked in various departments of the Nigeria Police Force as Admin Officer at New Iyin Police Station in Ekiti State, as Crime Officer at Alausa Police Station Lagos State, as Divisional Traffic Officer at Lion Building, Lagos Island, where she bagged the award of the best Traffic Officer in Nigeria from Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria.
To her credit, she is a very hardworking, disciplined and very skillful Police officer with huge knowledge in Community Policing. She was able to eradicate the menace of armed robbers and cultists within Ilasamaja Community in 2016; she was the officer that discovered oil wells in Ilasamaja Community. She was also the officer that arrested the armed robber that robbed popular comedian, Basketmouth and recovered 2 AK 47 rifles.
She has bagged many awards including DPO of the Year 2016 by Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria, DPO of the Year 2017 Lagos State at 50 courtesy of Tech TV, an International Award of Best Crime Busting Police Division in Nigeria 2017 by Security Watch Africa, Best Anti Crime Police Officer in West Africa also by Security Watch Africa, Gallantry in Police Duties by CRAN.
She was recently posted to State Traffic Division as the officer in charge of Lagos State Traffic. She has also bagged 2 different awards from City People and Campaign for the Defence of Human Rights Group (CDHR) and equally bagged another award from JTTAH Foundation and Security Watch Africa as the Most Innovative Traffic Management Police Officer in Central and West Africa.
