A delegation from Daily Sun Newspapers on Monday, 29th June, 2026—  paid a courtesy visit to renowned community leader, serial entrepreneur, and philanthropist of note— High  Chief Sir (Dr.) Anthony Ikenna Obele (Okwunze (Aguata)—  at his office in Lagos— where it formally presented him with a nomination letter for the “Daily Sun Entrepreneur of the Year 2026” honour.
The delegation was led by the Deputy Manager (Advert), Mr. Dayo Olayinka, on behalf of the Management of Daily Sun Newspapers, under the leadership of its Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief, Onuoha Ukeh. The visit was aimed at officially notifying Dr. Amb. Anthony Ikenna Obele of his nomination in recognition of his outstanding contributions to entrepreneurship, philanthropy and community development.
Widely respected for his humanitarian disposition, Chief Obele has over the years distinguished himself through impactful initiatives that have empowered youths and women, supported educational advancement, assisted the less privileged, and contributed significantly to socio-economic development, particularly in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State and beyond.
Reacting to the development, Nigerian Media Expert, Public Affairs Analyst and Publisher of 4th Estate Reporters, Njoku Macdonald Obinna, described the nomination as a well-deserved recognition of a man whose influence continues to resonate across communities.
