Dangote Sinotruk Executives Pay Courtesy Visit To Ikeja Council Boss

Executives from Dangote Sinotruk paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), on Tuesday at the Ikeja Local Government Secretariat as part of activities to mark the beginning of the year 2026 and to explore strategic areas of collaboration with the Local Government.
The visit was aimed at strengthening institutional relationships and identifying opportunities for partnership that would promote youth empowerment, education, and community development within Ikeja Local Government.
While receiving the delegation, Hon. Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD) highlighted key initiatives of the administration through which Dangote Sinotruk could collaborate with the Local Government. These include the AKOD Holiday Job Initiative, designed to provide temporary employment and skills exposure for young people, as well as the AKOD Back-to-School Programme, which supports educational access and learning materials for pupils across the Local Government.
The Council Chairman emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in accelerating grassroots development, noting that meaningful collaboration with reputable corporate organizations remains a cornerstone of the I.K.E.J.A Agenda.
The Dangote Sinotruk delegation was led by Mr. Brian Wang, Sales Manager, alongside Mr. Sunday Dairo, Assistant General Manager, Marketing and Sales. Speaking during the visit, the team expressed appreciation for the warm reception and commended the Chairman’s people-oriented programmes and developmental vision for Ikeja.
The delegation further reaffirmed Dangote Sinotruk’s readiness to partner with Ikeja Local Government as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment, particularly in areas that positively impact youth development, education, and socio-economic growth.
The visit concluded on a positive note with both parties expressing optimism about a sustainable and mutually beneficial partnership that will contribute to the continued progress and well-being of Ikeja residents.
