The story of Anthony Mmesoma Madu, the 11-year-old ballet dancer whose video went viral, is a perfect example of Darey’s message of hope in his new single, Jah Guide Me.
A few months ago, we saw the video of Anthony passionately dancing ballet in the rain. His passion and commitment was so evident and this earned him international recognition and a scholarship opportunity.
To encourage him and the other dancers at Leap of Dance Academy, Darey paid a visit to their school, interacted with the kids, tried a few dance steps, and shared words of encouragement with them. He assured them that if they remained committed to doing what they love passionately, Jah will continue to guide them through life’s unexpected twists.
As expected, Darey’s visit was a highlight and positive experience for the kids who all excitedly took turns sharing their dance routines for Jah Guide Me.
Darey shared a video of his visit to the school on his Instagram page with the thoughtful caption, “Our lives hold a deeper significance and purpose that is higher than what surrounds us. Where you are now has very little or no bearing on how far you’ll go. What you DO is what counts!”.
One day, Anthony was dancing to his heart’s content under the rain, and over the next few days, he watched in awe as his dreams bagan to come true.
So like Darey said, “Forge ahead with passion, stay committed to what you do, and Jah will guide you through life’s unexpected twists”.
