Afro-pop star, Davido, has promised to release an album in honour of his late friend Olugbemiga Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Olu.
The 24-year-old singer made the announcement on Thursday on Instagram via Instastory saying, “DJ Olu album in the works.”
DJ Olu, son of oil magnate, Prince Dapo Abiodun, was found dead along with another friend, Chime Amaechina, on Saturday, October 7, in a garage on Block B, Banana Island, Lagos.
Substances suspected to be drugs were found in the BMW car where the two bodies were found.
The tragedy happened a few days after another friend of Davido, Tagbo Umeike, died of suffocation after drinking copious shots of tequila.
Davido had earlier dedicated the two awards he won at the 2017 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) to Tagbo and DJ Olu.
