FUNSHO AROGUNDADE
After a four year hiatus, multiple award-winning singer, D’Banj will be making his return to the United Kingdom concert circuit in November.
Couple of days ago, the Kokomaster announced the preparations for what might likely be his biggest UK nationwide headline tour.
The hugely anticipated nationwide tour, organized by Afrobeat Artistry, will see D’Banj criss-crossing and performing in different UK cities including: the Manchester Academy on 11 November, Birmingham’s Tower Ballroom on 12 November, and the Indigo at The 02 in London on 13 November.
Planned to be the most explosive and star-studded Afrobeats concert tour the country has seen this year, D’Banj will have as opening act, Nigerian fast rising Pop star Tekno, and many other surprise guests to be announced later.
Widely regarded as one of the best live performers, D’Banj always gives his fans and audiences an unforgettable, energetic and fun-packed live experience. And with his forthcoming UK tour, the DKM Media boss has promised to deliver a live performance experience that will go down as his best ever.
In 2012, D’Banj debuted on the UK Top 10 singles chart, with his summer smash hit ‘Oliver Twist’ reaching Number 9 in the UK singles charts, and Number 2 in the UK R&B chart. This make D’Banj the first ever Afrobeats artist to chart in the UK top ten.
‘Oliver Twist’ also topped the charts in Romania, and garnered chart success in Scotland, Germany, Belgium and Ireland, to mention a few.
The 2016 D’Banj UK tour is powered by Afrobeat Artistry, and will be hosted by Capital Xtra’s veteran broadcaster Abrantee.
