A visit to the popular De Santos Hotels in Akowonjo area of Lagos by P.M.EXPRESS over the rumoured death of the Director of the multi-million Naira hotel, Mr. Anthony Ezeunara, witnessed a shocking scenario.

Contrary to the false rumour, P.M.EXPRESS correspondent was received by Mr. Ezeunara himself, who then ushered our reporter to his office and was asked if he was still alive. Ezeunara bursted into laughter, brought out his identity card and showed our reporter in order to check if it was the same with the name he heard.
His identity having been confirmed by the reporter, Ezeunara then said that he was healthy and heard the same rumour but did not want to respond because he did not travel abroad or had any drug related dealings linked to him as speculated.
According to him, when the rumour started last year the management refuted it but it started again this January. He said he traveled to his village for the Christmas and came back recently only to start receiving calls from his friends who were visibly worried over the rumour.

He narrated his humble background; how he struggled and started growing his business with his first company, Tonnel Investments, at Dopemu area of Lagos, from where he raised money to expand and build hotels. Ezeunara said recently that he opened another branch of Santos Hotel in Anambra State and plans are in top gear to expand and build another branch in Enugu Stateand other places in Nigeria.

Asked if the rumour of his death was not the handiwork of his competitors in the hospitality business, he said he could not say so and would not know who were paddling such false information, adding that he was busy consolidating on his hospitality business and other businesses he had ventured into.
In the same vein, the General Manager, De Santos Hotel, Tobe Ekeneme, noted that when the rumour started on social media, he cautioned those commenting to verify such information before they would conclude as he was sure nothing had happened to their Director, Ezeunara and he did not travel abroad.
He advised media practitioners to always verify information at their disposal before publishing anything on social media or newspapers.
He explained that De Santos Hotels offers one of the best hospitality services in Lagos by treating their customers with utmost care providing best services in terms of accommodations, event centre, foods and drinks at affordable prices.
