The Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Salihi Magashi (Rtd), has arrived Jaji Military Cantonment on a two-day working visit to the Armed Forces Command and Staff College Jaji, Kaduna State.
The Special Assistant Media and Publicity to the Minister, Mohammad Abdulkadri, said the General’s visit is ahead of the graduation ceremony of the Senior Course 42, which will be holding on Friday, 10th July, at Danjuma Hall.
On arrival, the Minister of Defence, General Magashi (Rtd), was received by the Commandant AFCSC, Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Sadiq Liman, who immediately performed the ceremonial Inspection of the Quarter Guard mounted at the 4 Demo Battalion Headquarters.
The Minister was also accompanied by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Sab’iu Zakari and Special Adviser Technical, Major General Ahmed Tijani Jibrin (Rtd). They took time to interact with AFCSC Management Staff just as he inspected the aesthetic of the newly improved main entrance to the Headquarters.
In compliance with the COVID-19 protocol, the Minister and his entourage took turn to use sanitizers and changed their face masks.
According to the press statement, the Special Guest of Honour to the College is expected to graduate a total of one hundred and eighty two Students.
A breakdown of the students to be graduated shows that the elements of the Nigerian Army top the list with 85, the Nigerian Navy has 40 and the Nigerian Air Force 34. Others included 13 Allied and 10 MDA to make a total of one hundred and eighty two graduating students.
