A delegation of the Staff of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, affected by the Non-capturing of some recruited staff of the university, January 16, 2023, paid a courtesy visit to the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD.

The staff met the Federal Lawmaker to interact with her on their ordeal and have a first hand experience of the situation and how far the Lawmaker has gone in addressing the issue.

The leader of the delegation, Mr. Philip Nwokocha, thanked the Lawmaker for her efforts in addressing their ugly situation, adding that the Lawmaker has done noble through her intervention in the problem. Mr. Nwokocha appealed further to the Senator to continue pushing until their problem is addressed. He prayed to God to continue giving the Senator strength to attend to the welfare of constituents.

Responding, Ekwunife thanked the staff for their kind words and noted that she is currently working through the office of the accountant General of the Federation as well as expecting a communication with the Clerk of the Senate on the issue.

Recall that in December 2022, Senator Ekwunife moved a motion bringing the attention of the Senate on the non-capturing of staff of Unizik who were recruited in 2020.
