Also, dentsu X Nigeria’s General Manager, Adekemi Alegbeleye, emerged as the Most Outstanding Media Independent Professional of the Year while the Chief Operating Officer of DENTSU CREATIVE Nigeria, Funke Adekola, won the award for the Most Outstanding Female Creative Advertising Professional of the Year.

Group Chief Executive Officer of MediaFuse-Dentsu, Emeka Chris Okeke, said the company would continue to ensure equity and competence in its appointments.

He said, “We are proud to be different by providing equal opportunities for everyone. We don’t define people by their race, gender, age or disability.

“We make professional gender equality a top priority and we are glad to see our employees grow regardless of their gender.

“We understand that ensuring a culture of fairness, equity and equality; celebrating and cultivating diverse perspectives and individuality across our business is key to our success.”

According to Emeka, Dentsu Nigeria remains one of the few advertising networks in the country with over 70 per cent of leadership positions occupied by women.

The Integrated Marketing Communications expert noted, “At dentsu, we drive systemic change for a future where we have a fair and equitable workplace representing the societies in which we operate.

“Awards like these reflect the positive changes our employee networks have achieved across our businesses and society. We will continue to foster a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive because of who they are.”

Emeka also expressed delight that the awards were received at a time the world is celebrating the International Day of The Girl Child.

“It’s exciting to mark the International Day of The Girl Child with five awards on gender inclusion,” he added.
