A 52-year old man, Emmanuel Ikhine, arrested for sexually abusing his 18-year old daughter has confessed that he depended on his daughter for his sexual satisfaction after he reportedly separated from his estranged wife for several years.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Mr. Ikhine was arrested after the victim reported to the Police that she had been sexually abused severally by her biological father.

According to the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Police in Ogun State on Saturday 10th of August, 2019, arrested one Emmanuel Ikhine, 52, for forcefully having unlawful carnal knowledge of his 18-year old biological daughter (name withheld).

The suspect, who resides at No. 6, Iyaniwura Street, Joju area of Sango Ota, was arrested following a report by one Yemisi Ashade, who came to the Police Station with the victim and complained that the victim came to her to report how her father has been abusing her sexually whenever she is alone at home with the threat to deal with her if she dares to tell anyone about it. She stated further that she can no longer bear the sexual assault hence she confided in her.

Upon the report, the DPO Sango Ota, CSP Godwin Idehai, detailed his detectives to the scene where the randy father was promptly arrested.
On interrogation, he made a confessional statement that he had been having carnal knowledge of the victim long before now since he got separated from his wife.
The victim, who claimed to be the only girl amongst the three children of her father, explained how the suspect had been sleeping with her whenever her two brothers were not around with threat. But when she could no longer bear it, she reported to their neighbour who then brought her to the Police Station to report.
The victim was taken to General Hospital where it was confirmed that she was already pregnant for her father.
Meanwhile the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bashir Makama, has ordered for the immediate transfer of the suspect to Anti Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation on the matter.
