The Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has said no amount of distraction will derail his focus on delivering the Zonal Hospitals and other projects in the State.

Gov. Fubara made this declaration after inspecting the Zonal Hospital in Omoku days ago.

“From what we have seen, this facility is built to a world-class standard as an intermediary health center.”

The governor noted that the inspection reaffirmed his commitment to the people of Rivers State that despite the effort of those trying to cause turmoil and distract his government, he will continue to tackle the challenges and remain focused on delivering the Zonal Hospitals as promised.

He emphasised that healthcare, education and agriculture remain top priority of his government and no matter the situation he is dedicated to ensuring their completion to the benefit of the people.

“We want to emphasize that this project is part of our commitment to the good people of Rivers State. Healthcare, education, and agriculture are our top priorities, and no matter the circumstances, we are dedicated to delivering these to our people.”

Gov. Fubara expressed satisfaction with the work done by the contractor in line with the remodeling to meet global standards.

“We are impressed with the work done by the contractor as it is according to specifications. We want this facility to include essential features such as a mortuary, a laundry which is important for a standard hospital and accommodation for health workers.”

The governor who also inspected the Elele-Umudioga-Egbeda-Ubimini-Ikiri-Omoku dual carriage road assured that despite the season and flooding in some parts, the ongoing road project would be completed on schedule.

He pointed out that he is impressed with the work done by the contractor on the 33.5 kilometers road, describing it as very critical to development as it connects three Local Government areas of Ikwerre, Emohua and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni.
