Diaspora Direct investments (DDI) are very important to the development of Nigeria, and these investments come with many advantages rather than disadvantages. DDIs are on diverse scales but all very functional and growth-enabling. Some are small, while others are large. More importantly, even the small-scale investments have expansion outlooks, which is vital for sustainable development.
Earlier today, October 10th 2023, a patriotic Nigerian living in the Diaspora, the founder and chairman of DNF Resources Oil & Gas Nigeria Limited, Dr Nicholas Felix, launched his multi-million naira oil and gas station in Abuja, Nigeria, to commence operations within the Federal Capital Territory. The important milestone will also kick off the establishment of several service outlets nationwide to support President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope for Nigeria and Nigerians. Dr Felix has put to action the famous statement of the late John F. Kennedy, “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.”
During the launch, Dr Felix, joined by the National Coordinator of The Asiwaju Group (TAG), Hon Oyinkansola Okewoye, the President/Founder of Belema Oil Producing Limited, Chief Tein Jack-Rich, Hon. Yomi Allen, Bishop Okwudili Eze, Rev John Azia, Uloma Rochas Nwosu and a host of others, described Nigeria as the best investment destination, being Africa’s largest economy and the sixth largest population in the world, with a population of over 200 million. Nigeria parades some of the world’s most ingeniously innovative minds, industry champions and technology leaders scattered within her people. It is quickly becoming one of Africa’s top economies, headed by a people-oriented President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
DNF Oil and Gas, according to Dr Felix, is contributing its quota to the creation of employment opportunities, capacity building, contribution to government revenue through payment of tax and poverty alleviation, among others.
