Following his resounding victory in yesterday’s convention, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu was this morning sworn in as the zone’s Vice Chairman.
Arodiogbu had earlier slugged it out with five other aspirants but had it easy owing to his popularity and the gale of endorsements that followed his decision to vie for the seat.
Briefing newsmen after the event, Arodiogbu thanked the Almighty God for the opportunity to serve Nigerians and the party. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to a number of stakeholders, notably Governors Hope Uzodinma and Governors David Umahi.
He promised to work together with the Governors to rev up the political machinery of the region by strengthening the party at the grassroots, reconciling party members and ensuring fairness in the party, he also urged NdiIgbo to embrace the APC, promising that this would bring about a new dawn for the region.
