The Federal Executive Council has approved the rehabilitation of Uturu (ABSU)-Akara Road in Isuikwuato LGA, Abia State. The stretch of the road is about 24km. Though a State road, Dr. Uche Ogah ensured that it was taken over by the Federal Government for its rehabilitation by Eighteen Engineering International Limited (a reputable government-owned Chinese Construction Company).
Dr. Uche Ogah, had immediately he was inaugurated as a Minister, appealed to President Mohammadu Buhari for the rehabilitation of the road and Mr President graciously approved that the process leading to its rehabilitation be commenced.
This road, constructed over 40 years ago, has deteriorated and has affected socio-economic activities. It has also been dotted by gully-erosions which made it become a security-risk as kidnappers and bandits take advantage of failed portions of the road to perpetrate evil.
Dr. Uche Ogah, has as a result, added this feat to other federal projects he has attracted to Abia State like the 80-bed General Hospital, ICT Centre at Government College Umuahia, Skill Acquisition Centres, Job creations for Abians, Economic empowerment, etc.
He has equally expressed appreciation to Mr President and members of the Federal Executive Council, especially, his Works and Housing counterparts: Babatunde Fashola (SAN) and Alhaji Muazu Sambo for lending hands to actualize this feat.
Dr. Uche Ogah has in addition, enjoined Abians to continue to show support to this administration, even as he promised Abians delivery of more sustaining democracy dividends.
