The Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, FNSE, received a delegation from One Circle Energy at the Commission’s headquarters.
The team, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Anas Anwar Magi, and Mr. Ade Omole, showcased innovative renewable energy solutions aimed at enhancing efficiency and revitalizing the country’s energy system.
The pioneering solutions included advanced solar panels with 20-year lifespans, hydrogen-based cooking systems, solar pavements for electric vehicle charging, and M-core energy technology boasting 99% efficiency.
The delegation emphasized its commitment to supporting Nigeria’s energy goals and addressing energy access challenges, particularly in clean cooking technologies, where less than 18% of Nigerians currently have access.
Dr. Abdullahi, emphasizing the importance of smart, sustainable energy solutions, briefed the team on the Commission’s role in ensuring energy security and affordability. He expressed interest in potential collaboration and tasked the Director of Renewable Energy of the ECN, Engr. F. Sulu, with overseeing the development of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formalize the partnership.
The meeting concluded with an engaging interaction session, exploring partnership opportunities aimed at positioning Nigeria’s energy system on the global stage with renewable energy innovations.
