Lagos State Contingent left for Benin City today (Saturday) to join their counterparts across the Country to participate in the 20th National Sports Festival (NSF) taking place in Edo State.
The NSF will hold from 2-12 April, 2021 after it suffered several postponements due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandem
Team Lagos are competing in 30 Sports at the Sports Festival. The contingent which comprises 297 Athletes and 185 Officials – Coaches, Secretaries and other accompanying Officials, left Lagos Saturday morning.
The Athletes and officials who were in high spirits were charged to be good ambassadors of Lagos State while in Edo State for the Nigeria’s version of the Olympic Games
“We want you to compete clean and be good representatives of our dear state,” said Mr. Oluwatoyin Gafaar, Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission.”Mr. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made the preparation for the festival easy for us by providing an enabling environment and I want to charge you to go out there and do you best to the glory of Lagos State,” he said.
