Amina Idris, a female taekwondo athlete hauled three medals for Team Lagos in the Poomase event on Monday at the ongoing Edo 2020 National Sports Festival and will go down in the history of the state’s outing in the festival for giving the state her first gold medal of the national tournament.
Idris won a gold medal for Lagos State in the Mixed Poomase event, while she also carted home 1 silver in the Team Female Poomase. She thereafter won a bronze medal in the Individual female in Poomase event.
Lagos also won one bronze medal in Male Team Poomase event which took place inside the Indoor Sports Hall of the University of Benin.
In other event, Team Lagos won silver medal in the female team six-a-side cricket, while their male counterpart won a bronze medal.
