As Muslims all over the world conclude the religious observance of a month long fasting and prayer, Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, has congratulated faithful adherents of the religion of I8slam on the successful conclusion of the tasking and spiritually purifying religious exercise.

In an Eid el Fitri felicitation message to his Muslim constituents and other Nigerians, Senator Adeola prayed that Almighty Allah will answer the supplication of adherents as espoused in the Holy month of Ramadan adding that it is his hope that the spiritual lessons of Ramadan and the injunctions of Holy Prophets on self-denial, love, peaceful co-existence, fairness and justice will continue in their daily lives and relations with people.

“As we enter yet another electioneering period in a few months’ time, let us continue to renew our hope for a secured nation and a prosperous future for the citizenry under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I am sure our prayers during the past month while fasting will be answered in due course” he stated.

The senator called on Muslims and other Nigerians to continue to pray against insecurity bedeviling the nation and the wisdom for leaders to find lasting solutions to unnecessary killings and other mayhem stressing that the religion of Islam is a religion of peace, kindness, love of Allah and fellow human beings.

Senator Adeola urged Muslims to continue in all the pious and righteous ways associated with the Ramadan adding that tolerance and peaceful co-existence should be a way of life for all of us as government attempt to find solutions to myriads of societal problems some of which have international dimension and origin.
