Ekere Congratulates Senator Akpabio

A former Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Mr. Nsima Ekere, has congratulated Senator Godswill Akpabio, on his emergence as President of the 10th Senate.
In a congratulatory message to the Senate President, Mr Ekere said that Senator Akpabio, having served as Governor of Akwa Ibom State for eight years and Senate Minority Leader, has the pedigree and experience to lead the nation’s highest lawmaking arm.
He expressed optimism that Senator  Akpabio, being fully aware of the security and economic challenges facing the nation, will provide leadership in the Senate that will collaborate with the executive arm of government to find solutions and ways to wriggle the country out of its current challenges.
Ekere, who is a former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), urged Senator Akpabio to use his new office to drive policies that will renew the hopes and faith of Nigerians.
“Congratulations Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio on your election as The President of ⁦the Nigerian Senate⁩. My prayer is that you lead with humility, passion and selfless dedication while using your exalted office to drive policies and legislations that renew our hopes and faith in our common destiny.”
Mr Ekere thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for supporting for Akpabio’s emergence, calling on members of the APC in Akwa Ibom to support Tinubu’s administration.
Mr. Ekere was the 2019 Governorship Candidate, and one of the most prominent leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Akwa Ibom State.
