All is now set for the grand finale of the 2017 Ekofootball Women Championship, as Young Talent 99 Queens Football Club slug it out for the coveted trophy against Jagubmolu Queens Football Club on Friday at the legendary Onikan Stadium, Lagos.
Young Talent 99 Queens secured the final ticket after beating hard fighting Victory Queens Football Club 3-0 in the first semifinal played on Sunday, while Jagubmolu Queens FC defeated Royaltoms Queens Football Club 3-1 in the second semifinal to set the stage for an exciting final battle, which holds at the Onikan Stadium on Friday this week.
However, Victory Queens FC will battle it out with Royaltoms Queens FC in the losers finals preceding the finals at the same venue.
Speaking at the semi finals matches on Sunday at Onikan Stadium, Chairman, Technical Committee of the Lagos FA, Dotun Coker expressed satisfaction with the standard of the championship, saying that with what he saw during the competition, he strongly believes that talents are abound in women football if only more competitions is organised on a regular basis.
He, however, charged corporate Nigerians and individuals to come out and support the state FA in its drive to discover more talents for the state and country, also take the girls off social vices in the society.
