The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom), has congratulated a worthy daughter of Anambra Central Senatorial District, Mrs. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, as she assumes office as the substantive MD/CEO of Fidelity Bank Plc.
Ekwunife noted that Mrs Onyeali-Ikpe’s assumption of office on January 1, 2021 which caused her emergence as the first female MD/CEO of the bank excites her, the good people of Anambra Central Senatorial District, Anambra State and Nigeria at large.
She describes Onyeali-Ikpe’s feat as a reward for her resilience, dedication, humility, hardwork and the ethos she brought to bear in the discharge of her duties in her over 30 years experience in the banking sector.
Ekwunife further noted that Mrs. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, who holds an LLB and LLM degrees from prestigious universities with several trainings from Harvard, Wharton and London Business Schools, has by her achievements exemplified herself as a shining example for women and a role model to the younger generation.
She described Onyeali-Ikpe’s appointment in our society where the odds are usually stacked against women as a testimony that hard work and dedication pay, and wished her God’s abundant blessings as she assumes office as the first female MD/CEO of the respected commercial bank.
