The senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, Friday, June 10, 2022, commiserated with the family of late Hon. Sir Andy Umeoji of Aku village, Ezinifite, Aguata LGA over the demise of their matriarch, late Chief Lady Ngozi Umeoji.
Late Chief Lady Umeoji was until her death the mother of Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji and Dr. Dame Adaora Nwokoye. Hon. Umeoji is the member representing Aguata federal constituency in the National Assembly while Dame Nwokoye is the Deputy Managing Director, Zenith Bank.
The funeral ceremony, which was held at her residence, was graced by men and women of goodwill notably were the PDP candidate for Anaocha/Njikoka/Dunukofia federal constituency, Hon. Emeka Eze and Anambra state former director of ASUBEB, Associate Professor Rose Nwankwo.
In her condolences message, Ekwunife noted that she came to identify and celebrate with the family of Umeoji over the life well lived by their mother, adding that she was a gracious woman who invested heavily in the lives of her children and Ezinifite community.
Continuing, the Federal lawmaker defined the deceased as a religious, purposeful and committed woman who would be greatly missed by all. She prayed God to grant her eternal rest in heaven.
The Chairman Senate Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation further on behalf of the good people of Anambra Central Senatorial District extended condolences to Hon. Umeoji and Dame Nwokoye.
