Enugu State was agog at the weekend as patriotic indigenes of Aguata resident in the Coal City trooped out in large numbers to endorse the candidacy of the people’s choice and All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, candidate for Aguata Federal Constituency, Dr Chibueze Ofobuike.
Dr Ofobuike, who arrived Enugu with his team to interface with Ndi Aguata, was given a rousing, carnival-like reception that further confirmed his wide acceptance as the grassroots candidate to beat in the forthcoming House of Representatives election. The atmosphere was charged with hope, unity and a shared belief in a new dawn for Aguata.
The strategic meeting was hosted by one of Aguata’s finest businessmen and highly respected community stakeholder, Nze Ifeanyichukwu Umeh, popularly known as Ezeabata n’Uga.
Ezeabata, a top-level distributor of Dangote and BUA products across the South-East, a job creator and a man deeply respected for his philanthropy and community development strides, commended Dr Ofobuike’s people-centred blueprint for Aguata. He described him as a rare breed of leader – humble, intelligent, accessible and genuinely passionate about the welfare of his people.
According to Ezeabata, Dr Ofobuike represents the new face of quality representation that Aguata has been yearning for. His agenda for youth empowerment, quality healthcare, education support, and attracting federal presence to Aguata is clear, achievable and people-driven.
In a strong and remarkable show of confidence and grassroots support, Ezeabata instantly supported Dr Ofobuike’s campaign with a vehicle to boost outreach and grassroots mobilization across the 14 communities of Aguata, pledging to do more to ensure total and resounding victory at the polls. The gesture attracted loud applause and was described as a vote of absolute confidence in Dr Ofobuike’s capacity.
Also present to receive the APGA candidate was another illustrious son of Aguata, Nze Emeka Ezeibe, the Nkpologwu-born entrepreneur and respected stakeholder who lauded Dr Ofobuike’s capacity, integrity and passion for selfless service.
Dr Chibueze Ofobuike is not a stranger to service. As a medical doctor, he has touched countless lives through free medical outreaches. As a philanthropist, he has empowered youths and supported widows. As a community leader, he has shown uncommon commitment to the growth of Aguata. His humility is infectious, his competence is proven, and his vision for Aguata is inspiring.
That is why across the federation, from Anambra to Lagos, Abuja to Enugu, Port Harcourt to Kano, illustrious sons and daughters of Aguata are uniting behind his aspiration. Market men and women, youth groups, professionals, captains of industry and community leaders all agree – Dr Chibueze Ofobuike is the right man for the job for the Green Chamber.
He is a man who listens, a leader who cares, and a representative who will deliver. He understands the pains of the ordinary Aguata man and has the intellectual capacity and legislative know-how to turn those pains into progress.
Addressing his supporters, Dr Ofobuike once again reassured Ndi Aguata of quality and effective representation.
“I will never let our people down. This mandate is for our people and I will serve with humility, sincerity and visible results. Aguata will feel quality representation in the Green Chamber,” he assured.
With this fresh and powerful endorsement in Enugu, the message is loud and clear: Ndi Aguata have made their choice, the grassroots have spoken, and their morning is indeed here.
Aguata, our morning is here.
