As part of continued Stakeholder engagement and negotiations towards finding a common ground for the earmarked Enugu State Transport Interchange, the Executive Governor of Enugu State His Excellency Barr. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, invited for further discussions the Chairman of Chisco Group, Chief Dr. Chidi Anyaegbu FCILC,MFR,CON to the Lion Building Enugu to continue the Stakeholder engagement between the Logistics Mogul and the Enugu State Government towards finding a common ground that will ensure a smooth take off of the proposed Enugu Transport Interchange(Enugu Central Station) in the heart of the State Capital.
In a robust and insightful discussion with the Chisco Boss and his team, the soft speaking Governor explained his vision towards the project, describing it as a game changer in the sector not just for Enugu State but the South East in general.
Speaking further, he advocated for a robust economic and Infrastructure partnership and synergy between the 5 Eastern States, which he emphasized will boost the economy of the region.
In his remark, the Enugu State Commissioner for Transport, Hon. Dr. Obi Ozor, described the Enugu State Transport Interchange as an audacious project, which will signify a strong developmental statement from the Peter Mbah Administration, stressing that the need to engage logistics stakeholders such as the Chisco boss will breathe life into the project, which he said when started will be completed in 9 months and will change the face of transport and logistics industry of the State in particular and the South East region in general. He reiterated the Governor’s commitment to starting and finishing the project in record time.
Addressing the Government House Press after the private visit, the Chairman of Chisco Group, Chief Dr. Chidi Anyaegbu,CON, described Governor Mbah as a revolutionary leader, who from his discussions with him meant well for Enugu State and the South East in general. He called on the good people of Enugu to give him the necessary support he needs towards realizing his vision for the State while praying for long life and good health on the Governor to continue to lead his people.
