VJFM Fortuna battled their way to a thrilling 3-2 away win against Vilniaus BFA B, with former Buruj Captain, Noah Abolaji Salaudeen, playing a decisive role by scoring once and assisting another.
The match kicked off with Vilniaus trying to keep possession of the ball but couldn’t due to immense pressure from VJFM FORTUNA players . Their early pressure paid off in the 15th minute when Noah Abolaji Salaudeen delivered a precise assist to the striker, who tapped home the opening goal.
Confidence grew in the Fortuna ranks, and in the 38th minute,Noah Abolaji Salaudeen showcased his class with a moment of brilliance—smashing home a rocket volley from 30 yards to double the lead. The visitors went into the break with a commanding advantage, while Vilniaus BFA B struggled to find their rhythm.
The hosts, however, came out revitalized after halftime, making a flurry of substitutions that shifted the momentum. Their persistence saw Lucas Tatarunas booked for a tough challenge before he redeemed himself in the 52nd minute, pulling one back for BFA B.
Moments later, Fortuna appeared to have regained control when Tatarunas struck again to restore their two-goal cushion. But the game was far from over. Substitute Rokas Vilkuotis proved to be an inspired change, coming off the bench to fire home in the 66th minute, giving BFA B belief of a comeback.
Fortuna responded with substitutions of their own, bringing on Rafiu Babatunde and Tomalis Macelis in an attempt to tighten their grip on the match. Despite their efforts, the hosts continued to press. In dramatic fashion, BFA B struck late through Ervin Balananov, who equalized in the 90+4 minute, sending the home fans into jubilation.
But the night ultimately belonged to Fortuna. Their resilience under pressure saw them cling to their slender lead until the final whistle.Noah Abolaji Salaudeen , booked deep into stoppage time, left his mark on the game with a goal, an assist, and relentless energy that inspired his side.
