However, the mood escalated as Senator Grace Bent visited to pick her nomination and expression of interests forms vying for the Adamawa Southern Senatorial District seat on Friday alongside a army of cheering supporters from her district.
Bent, who represented the zone from 2007 to 2011, told reporters that she is seeking to return to the Red Chamber to give a better representation she incubated while at the National Assembly but was lacking since she was away from the office.
She vowed to work round the clock to ensure APC gives a good fight by winning the senatorial seat as well as see to the ousting of the incumbent PDP government in Adamawa State.
Bent said that the form was the doing of Adamawa electorate, not her own making as they were the ones who pushed her for the National assignment.
“I’m their servant, they just sent me to pick these forms for them, not my interest, it’s their own. They had the experience of my stewardship, and they want a taste of it again. They are anxious to feel my selfless service once again,” Senator Bent said.
