As it was in the days of Prof. Charles Quaker Dokubo and other past bosses of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) so it is beginning to look like with the less than six months old administration of Gen. Barry Ndiomu Retd., the current Interim Administrator of the intervention agency.
PMEXPRESS investigations revealed that the buccaneers that have succeeded since its creation by the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua in 2009 in foisting the toga of cesspool of corruption are not done yet despite commitment of Gen. Ndiomu to purge the agency of any form of sleaze.
The information and documents available to our correspondent show that it is still business as usual at the intervention agency as millions of naira is said to be exchanging hands illegally under the table.
The latest in the sleaze is what is called Advance Payment (AP) with top staff of the agency as beneficiaries.
Our Correspondent gathered that the deal involved the staff of the PAP’s Audit and Account Department.
“One had thought that with a new man in charge, corruption would have taken a back seat, but unfortunately, it seems nothing has changed,” a source told our correspondent.
Effort to reach officials of the Intervention Agency to react to the mind-bogging allegations proved abortive.
